December was a great month for Sormec with a big achievement: we had here in our head office representatives of three very important companies such as Sembmarine SLP, Statoil and Siemens. The group came to award a kick off meeting for a new topside offshore telescopic crane M500/3S. The crane is to be installed on the topside substation platform which is part of the Dudgeon offshore wind farm project.
Sembmarine SLP was awarded the EPC contract for the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farma��s substation platform in September 2014 by Siemens Transmission & Distribution Limited. It will be installed at its final location approximately 32km North of Cromer, off the North Norfolk coast. The 1800 ton substation and 1500 ton jacket structure, will be centrally located within Dudgeonsa�� 402MW, 55 kmA? array of 67 offshore wind turbines.
The wind farma��s developer is Dudgeon Offshore Wind Limited, a joint venture between Norwegian periactin for sale, generic dapoxetine. Energy firms Statoil and Statkraft, and Abu Dhabi based renewable energy company, Masdar.
Certified by LRS and designed according EN 13852:1 norms, the crane will have an SWL of 5 tons at 21 meters, 1 ton at 30 m (static) and 5 tons @ 10 meters, 2 tons @ 21 meters with 2 meters of significant wave high. A�The crane is equipped with AOPS, MOPS, CT special features and man riding function. We will deliver the crane in June 2016.
