Nicolò, the founder, and ahead visioner of his time, established SORMEC in 1989 and brought the Company from being a small repair workshop to an international player in the marine cranes market.
He passed on the same passion and vision he had to Santo, his son, and SORMEC CEO; together they work each day to keep the high standards and quality of our products.

Sormec manufactures hydraulic lifting systems for ships, vessels, oil rigs, barges and provides offshore services according to customer specifications. Since its establishment in 1989, Sormec has consistently increased its global market share by delivering innovative tailor-made cranes for marine and offshore customers all over the world, confirming its brand as a byword of technology, accuracy and reliability.
Sormec can supply a complete customized range of cranes in order to meet all kind of requests. Each crane is suitable for general cargo handling, service and offshore applications. It may also be certified, upon additional specific request, by all the main certification authorities.
